Clipboard Tiers will be replacing Clipboard Score in Kansas in the next few weeks. This article explains what each tier means for the shifts you can book, how your recent shifts move your account between tiers, and what to do if something looks wrong.
What Is Changing
Clipboard Score added and subtracted points over your entire history on the marketplace. Clipboard Tiers looks at your last 10 bookings instead.
Each cancellation or late arrival counts for your next 10 bookings, then drops off. Your record under Account > Tier & Access shows your last 10 bookings and when each one stops counting. There are three tiers: Gold, Silver, and Bronze. All three can book every shift on the marketplace; Gold and Silver will see new shifts first when early access by tiers arrives in the weeks after launch.
Below the tiers, there are also two statuses. If your last 10 bookings go over a Bronze limit, your account moves to Limited, where you can book late-posted shifts and accept invites from workplaces where you worked in the last 30 days. A no-show, leaving a shift early, or any cancellation or late arrival while in Limited moves your account to Restricted, which pauses bookings until the end date shown in the app and releases any booked shifts. You can still accept invites from workplaces where you've worked in the last 30 days.
Your Clipboard Score is the real work you put in, and we use it to place your account at launch. A score of 300 or more places you in Gold, and 150 or more in Silver. If your last 10 bookings meet the Silver or Gold limits, your account will be set to that level too, regardless of your score. Nobody starts in Limited.
The Tiers and Statuses
| Tier | What your account can book | How your account stays here |
|---|---|---|
| Gold | All shifts. Sees new shifts first as early access by tiers arrives (see Rewards) | At most 1 cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice, 2 cancellations with 24 hours' notice or more, and 1 late arrival in your last 10 bookings. 10 shifts worked in the last 60 days |
| Silver | All shifts. Sees new shifts after Gold when early access by tiers arrives | At most 1 cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice, 2 cancellations with 24 hours' notice or more, and 1 late arrival. At least 10 shifts were |worked on the marketplace |
| Bronze | All shifts. Sees new shifts after Gold and Silver when early access by tiers arrives | At most 1 cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice, 5 cancellations ith 24 hours' notice or more, and 2 late arrivals. New accounts start here |
| Limited | Late-posted shifts and invites from workplaces where you worked in the last 30 days | Your account is here when your last 10 bookings exceed the Bronze limit. Any cancellation or late arrival while Limited moves your account to Restricted |
| Restricted | No new bookings until the date shown in the app. Invites from workplaces where you have worked in the last 30 days can still be accepted | Your account moves here after a no-show, after leaving a shift before it ends from any tier, or after any cancellation or late arrival while in Limited. Shifts you had booked are released |
A late arrival means clocking in more than 15 minutes after the shift starts, with two exceptions. If you booked less than 4 hours before the start, we measure from your target arrival time instead (your drive time plus a 20-minute buffer), as shown when you booked. The second shift of a back-to-back double at the same workplace isn't marked late.
If your account is moved to Limited, the shifts you’ve already booked remain on your calendar.
How Your Tier Is Calculated
|
Your tier is recalculated from your last 10 bookings every time a booking enters the window: when you work a shift and when you cancel one. A no-show or leaving a shift without approval does not go through the window; it moves your account directly to Restricted. Updates happen immediately, not on a weekly cycle. Each booking counts as one of the following: worked on time; worked with a late arrival; canceled with 24 hours' notice or more; or canceled with less than 24 hours' notice. A no-show moves your account to Restricted straight away, from any tier, and does not count toward your last 10. Going over a limit moves your account down right away, to whichever tier your last 10 bookings still meet. Because every tier allows only one cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice, a second one in your last 10 moves your account to Limited, from Silver or Gold as well. Only worked shifts move your account up. When a new shift is worked, your oldest booking leaves your last 10; if the remaining 10 are within a higher tier's limits, your account moves up immediately. A shift worked with a late arrival can still move your account up, as long as your last 10 stays within that tier's late-arrival limit. A cancellation never moves your account up, even one with plenty of notice. |

If you have fewer than 10 bookings, the limits apply to those bookings. Once you reach 10, each new booking replaces the oldest one.
Example. Worker A's last 10 bookings: 7 worked on time and 3 canceled with 24 hours' notice or more. Their account is Bronze, since Silver allows at most 2 such cancellations. If they work their next shift on time and the oldest of the three cancellations leaves their last 10, they now have 2, and their account moves to Silver.
Gold also has a time rule, and it is the one most likely to move a high scorer. To stay in Gold, you need 10 shifts worked in the last 60 days. If 60 days pass without 10 shifts worked, your account moves to Silver until you reach 10 again. The date to complete your next shift is shown in the app.
You can see your tier and your last 10 bookings by tapping "Account," then "Tier & Access" in the Clipboard app.

Your Tier on Launch Day
Your account is placed in whichever tier is higher: the one your Clipboard Score gives you, or the one your last 10 bookings give you. A score of 300 or more places you in Gold, and 150 or more in Silver, whatever your recent bookings show. Everyone else starts in Bronze, including accounts with fewer than 10 bookings, and nobody starts in Limited.
Nothing before launch counts against your account. Your shifts worked before launch are used only on day one to place you in Silver or Gold if they meet the requirements for those tiers.
If your account is Restricted at launch, it remains Restricted until the current period ends, after which it follows the same rules as everyone else.
Before launch, you will receive a message with your starting tier.

After launch, your tier is based on your last 10 bookings. The score path is used once, on launch day. From then on, only your bookings decide your tier, so if your account was placed in Gold because of your score, your next shifts are what keep it there.
Common Situations
You cancel a shift 24 hours or more before it starts
It counts as a cancellation with notice in your last 10. Bronze allows up to 5, Silver and Gold up to 2. It drops off your record after 10 more bookings, but only worked shifts move your account up.
You cancel a shift less than 24 hours before it starts
It counts as a cancellation with less than 24 hours' notice. Every tier allows one in your last 10. A second one moves your account to Limited status, even if you're currently Silver or Gold. If your account is already Limited, any cancellation moves it to Restricted.
You arrive late
If you clock in more than 15 minutes after the start, the shift counts as a late arrival in your last 10. Bronze allows 2, Silver and Gold allow 1. If your account is Limited, a late arrival moves it to Restricted. The shift still counts as worked, so it can move your account up if your last 10 are within the next tier's limits.
You pick up a shift shortly before it starts
If you booked less than 4 hours before the start, your arrival is measured from the target arrival time shown when you booked (your drive time plus a 20-minute buffer), not from the shift start. Arriving after that time counts as late. The second shift of a back-to-back double at the same workplace isn't marked late.
An emergency keeps you from a shift
Cancel as early as you can: a cancellation with 24 hours' notice or more has a higher limit than one with less notice. Not showing up at all moves your account to Restricted status across all tiers. If an attendance event was recorded in error, see If an Attendance Event Looks Wrong.
You worked the shift, but your clock-in didn't record
Submit a missed punch request in the app as soon as possible. Until it's approved, the shift may be marked as a late arrival or a no-show, and your tier may change. Once your request is approved and the attendance event is removed, the shift counts as worked on time, and your tier updates immediately. If your tier hasn't updated after approval, contact support with the shift date.
The workplace cancels your shift or sends you home early
This does not count against your account. See Sent Home Pay.
Rewards for Gold and Silver
Every Gold, Silver, and Bronze account can book every shift on the marketplace. The difference is who sees new shifts first. At launch, shifts open first to professionals who have worked at that workplace in the last 30 days, then to everyone. This is how shift access works today, and tiers do not change it yet.
In the weeks after launch, shifts will open by tier and by where you've worked. New shifts will open in rounds: first to Gold accounts that have worked at the workplace in the last 30 days; then to Gold accounts that haven't and Silver accounts that have; then to Silver accounts that haven't and Bronze accounts that have; then to everyone. Each round lasts up to 15 minutes from the moment the shift is posted. Having worked at a workplace alone will no longer be enough for first access.
When a shift is in an early-access round for a tier above yours, the app shows that it's being offered to that tier first, and when it opens to you.
More rewards are coming. We will announce each one here and in the app as it becomes available. We will also adjust how access works based on what we learn after launch and update this article accordingly.
If an Attendance Event Looks Wrong
You can ask for a review when an event was recorded in error, for example: you arrived on time, and the workplace can confirm it, your timesheet shows a different clock-in time, or the workplace canceled the shift.
To request a review, tap "Account," then "Get Help," then "Contact Support" in the Clipboard app. Include the shift date and any timesheet or workplace message.
If the event is removed, it no longer counts toward your last 10 bookings, and your tier updates immediately.
Moving Up From Limited or Restricted
- Limited. Your account can book late-posted shifts and invites from workplaces where you worked in the last 30 days. Shifts you already booked stay on your calendar. Your account returns to Bronze as soon as a worked shift brings your last 10 bookings within the Bronze limits. The app shows how many more you need. Any cancellation or late arrival while Limited moves your account to Restricted.
-
Restricted. No new bookings until the end date shown under "Account," then "Tier & Access." The first and second time, the period is 7 days; the third time, a year. The shifts you booked are removed from your calendar. You can still accept invites from workplaces where you have worked in the last 30 days. When the period ends, your account moves to Limited with a clean record; your next on-time shift moves it to Bronze. A cancellation or late arrival before that moves it back to Restricted.
