The Clipboard app connects independent healthcare professionals with open shifts at nearby workplaces. This guide covers account setup, finding shifts, and managing your profile.
Setting Up Your Account
To get started:
- Download the app —iOS or Android
- Create an account using your phone number and email
- Provide your full legal name, email, and home address
- Submit your legal ID (driver's license, passport, etc.)
- Review and accept the Independent Contractor Agreement
Enabling Location Services
Location Services must be enabled to use core marketplace features, including booking shifts, clocking in and out, and receiving InstantPay. To enable:
- iPhone: Go to Settings, find Clipboard in your app list, set Location access to "Always," and enable Precise Location
- Android: Go to Settings, find Clipboard in your app list, set Location access to "Allow all the time," and enable Precise Location

Finding and Filtering Shifts
To browse and book shifts:
- Tap "Shifts" in the bottom navigation
- Use list view or map view to browse available shifts
- Tap the filter icon in the top right to narrow by:
- Role and license type
- Shift time (Day, Evening, Overnight)
- Distance from home (up to 150 miles)
- Use the calendar to browse by specific dates
Managing Your Bookings
The "Bookings" tab lets you manage your schedule. From here you can:
- View all upcoming shifts
- Chat with workplaces (opens in the "Chat" tab)
- Upload timesheets after shifts
- Cancel shifts if needed — marketplace terms apply
Managing Your Account and Profile
The "Account" tab in the bottom-right corner contains your settings. From here you can:
- Edit your profile information and address
- Update payment methods and payout preferences
- Upload and manage required documents
- View promotions and referral settings
- Adjust notification preferences
- Access support tools
Your Clipboard Score and Priority Access
Your Clipboard Score reflects your account's attendance history on the platform. To view it:
- Tap "Account," then "Clipboard Score"
- View your current score and how it is calculated
- See how points are gained or lost
- Learn about Priority Access — a higher score gives your account early access to shifts before others become available
