How to Refer Workplaces – Clipboard (Professional)

Your account can earn a cash bonus by referring new workplaces to Clipboard. If a workplace signs up using your unique referral link and completes a qualifying shift, you receive a reward.

Understanding the Workplace Affiliate Program

The Workplace Affiliate Program lets you earn money by referring workplaces to Clipboard. You'll receive a bonus if a workplace uses your referral link to sign up and completes a qualifying shift. You don't need a special role or a direct connection — just your experience with Clipboard.

To access the program, tap "Account" then tap the "Get paid for referring workplaces!" banner. You'll see the
"Invite workplace" button and the "What You'll Earn" table with bonus amounts by workplace type.

Important: The workplace must use your unique referral link during signup. If they do not use the referral link, the referral will not be counted, and neither party will qualify for rewards.

Bonus Amounts

Your bonus depends on the type of workplace you refer, paid after they complete their first eligible shift:

$1,000 for hospitals
$500 for long-term care workplaces
$500 for child care centers
$150 for dental clinics
$125 for home health and hospice
$100 for schools*

*School referrals are only eligible in select metropolitan areas, including the Bay Area, CA; Chicago, IL; Los Angeles, CA; New York City, NY; Boston, MA; Houston, TX; Philadelphia, PA; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL; Dallas, TX; Washington, DC; DMV (DC–MD–VA); Miami, FL; Seattle, WA; New Orleans, LA; Cincinnati, OH; Minneapolis, MN; Detroit, MI; St. Louis, MO; Pittsburgh, PA; Denver–Aurora–Lakewood, CO; Nashville–Davidson–Murfreesboro–Franklin, TN; and Providence–Warwick, RI–MA.

Note: Referrals for workplaces that already use Clipboard, as well as pharmacy-only providers, are not eligible for a referral bonus.

Referral Requirements

For your referral to be valid, the workplace must use your unique referral link during their signup process. This link cannot be applied after the fact, so make sure they use it from the start.

If the workplace signs up without using your link, the referral cannot be added later, and the bonus will not be issued. If you believe the workplace signed up because of your referral but did not use the link, contact our Support Team — we may be able to look into the signup details, but bonuses are not guaranteed in this case.

Sharing Your Experience

Share your personal experience honestly. You can mention:

How easy it is to post and fill shifts
Features like InstantPay, real-time ETAs, and in-app messaging
That signup is free, and they'll receive shift credits for joining

You don't need to convince them right away — share your link and let them explore.

How Shift Credits Work

When a workplace signs up through your link, they automatically receive shift credits equal to your bonus amount. These credits reduce the cost of their shifts, making it easier for them to get started on the platform.

Tracking Referrals and Bonuses

To check your referral status, tap "Account," then "Workplace Affiliate Program," then "Affiliate Program Stats" in the Clipboard app. There you'll see a list of referred workplaces and their status:

Pending: The workplace has not yet had a verified shift
Successful: The workplace completed its first shift, and your bonus is on the way

Link Sharing Guidelines

Share your link only through personal channels such as text, email, or in-person conversations
Do not share your link within other platforms' messaging systems if it violates their terms of service
Be honest about your experience and avoid making promises or guarantees
